Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre for 20th year

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – “Funny, outrageous, emotionally affecting and occasionally angry,” Eve Ensler’s wildly popular series of monologues about women and performed by women is back for the twentieth year with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s annual presentation of The Vagina Monologues, January 13th – January 21st.

Directed by Melissa Schaffner, chief of the NAF Support Division at Fort Campbell MWR, and produced by Ryan Bowie, this year’s presentation is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Jill Eichhorn, a longtime supporter of and frequent performer in the Roxy’s production of The Vagina Monologues

Roxy Regional Theatre brings back “The Vagina Monologues” for 19th year

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – “Funny, outrageous, emotionally affecting and occasionally angry” … following a one-year hiatus, Eve Ensler’s wildly popular series of monologues about women and performed by women is back for the nineteenth year with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s presentation of  “The Vagina Monologues”, January 7th – January 15th, 2022.
 
This year, four local ladies will take the stage of theotherspace, the 50-seat black box theatre located upstairs at the Roxy, in readings of these monologues based on interviews Eve Ensler conducted with 200 women about their views on sex, relationships and violence against women:

Dancing with the Stars to be held Saturday March 5th, 2016

Altrusa International of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Altrusa International Foundation of Clarksville presents its Seventh Annual Dancing with the Stars show on Saturday March 5th, 2016, 7:00pm at the Austin Peay State University’s Music/Mass Communications Building. This year will be an All-Star Reunion Show with 10 former Stars once again returning to the stage!

The event is held as a fund raiser to provide scholarships to non-traditional students. Our goal this year is to present $10,000 in scholarships.

Dancing with the Stars to be held at 7:00pm on Saturday March 5th, 2016 at the APSU Music/Mass Communications Building.

Heather Anderson, Ashley Laverty and Adriane Wiley-Hatfield are joined by Jill Eichhorn, professor of women’s studies at Austin Peay State University; Paige King, proprietor of home boutique Hodgepodge; and Melissa Schaffner, marketing director of Fort Campbell’s MWR program; in readings of these monologues. Female Version of the “Odd Couple” Opens at Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell’s entry in the 2011 U.S. Army Festival of the Arts Competition is “The Odd Couple” (female version) written by Neil Simon and directed by Art Conn. Performances are scheduled for August 19th, 20th and 26th at the Dale Wayrenen Recreation Center on Desert Storm Avenue.

Each year the U.S. Army Festival of the Arts Competition sends judges to all Army installations in the U.S. and abroad to judge the theater and recreation center talent shows with winners announced later in the year. Conn has been directing the Fort Campbell entries for the past 15 years, winning numerous awards for directing over the years.
