Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Montgomery Gentry to headline Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announces that Montgomery Gentry will be the headliner for Riverfest 2019. Riverfest, the City of Clarksville’s arts and entertainment festival, is now in its 32nd year.
Montgomery Gentry will perform at 9:15pm Saturday, September 7th on the Miller Lite Stage at McGregor Park. The concert is free and open to the public.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest kicked off Saturday, September 8th with Rally on the Cumberland, the city’s annual canoe and kayak race.
Fourteen boats began the race at the Montgomery County Conservation Club at 8:00am and paddled approximately 6 miles in length on the Cumberland River to McGregor Park.
Participants paddled the Cumberland River for prizes, bragging rights.

Clarksville, TN – Sister Hazel will be the featured headliner for Riverfest 2018, the City of Clarksville’s arts and entertainment festival now in its 31st year.
Sister Hazel, a mainstay on the Billboard country and adult alternative charts for more than two decades, will perform at 9:15pm Saturday, September 8th on the Miller Lite Stage at McGregor Park. The concert is free and open to the public.
Clarksville’s McGregor Park to reopen Friday for Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Sunny and pleasant weather is forecast Thursday through Saturday for Clarksville’s Riverfest Celebration, offering a welcome change from last week’s storms and flooding.
Heavy rains swept through Clarksville early Friday, pushing the Cumberland River to flood stage, covering McGregor Park’s two outdoor stages and forcing Clarksville Parks and Recreation to close the park.

Canoe and Kayak race now part of Riverfest
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s canoe and kayak race Rally on the Cumberland is back for a fifth year and is now part of Clarksville’s Riverfest.
Rally on the Cumberland will be at 8:00am on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 on the Cumberland River, beginning at the Montgomery County Conservation Club and ending at the McGregor Park boat ramp, approximately 6 miles in length.

Montgomery County, TN – Two back-to-back events will be held Saturday in honor of fallen Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David “Bubba” Johnson.
First, the Inaugural Bubba Johnson Memorial 5K Road Race begins at 8:30am Saturday, July 19th beginning at The Montgomery County Historic Courthouse, Clarksville, TN. There is also a 1-mile “fun run-walk” that will begin and end at Clarksville First Baptist Church.
Hilldale Civitan Club to hold 39th Annual State of Tennessee Old-Time Fiddlers’ Championship

City votes on Clarksville’s Best for the March of Dimes

Clarksville, Tenn -The Best of Clarksville fundraiser for the March of Dimes is eagerly awaited each year by both businesses and area residents. The fundraiser this year featured 140 businesses in 65 categories; each one looking to score the votes of area residents to be declared The Best of Clarksville. The event consists of local vendor booths, silent auctions, dance performances, free give-a-ways, and a fireworks show by Allen’s Fireworks. All of the money raised is donated to the March of Dimes.
Matthews Nissan Suzuki was the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors included Five Star Radio, Sango Village Florist, US Bank, Cumberland Bank and Trust, FedEx, Allen’s Fireworks, Ad One Advertising, WJZM 1400 AM, and The Leaf-Chronicle.
