APSU volunteers package 8,000 meals for those in need in honor of Martin Luther King Day of Service 2018

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Diversity Committee, in cooperation with the APSU Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement, partnered with Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief non-profit organization, to package and distribute thousands of meals for distribution to those in need on January 19th, in honor of APSU’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

Clarksville, TN – More than 500 student, staff and faculty volunteers will gather on the campus of Austin Peay State University Friday, January 29th for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
In honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., volunteers will do their part to help alleviate hunger in a third-world country with a meal packaging event hosted by the APSU Diversity Committee and Feed My Starving Children. The event will take place from 10:00am-5:30pm at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center.
