Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of April.
On Tuesday, April 5th, the Chamber will be hosting a Women In Business event at 11:30am at the Riverview Inn, 50 College Street. Dale Thomas will serve as the Keynote Speaker. Born and raised in rural Mississippi, Dale Thomas pulls from her life history and the choices she made to teach “real life” lessons to each audience. Dale has been teaching for over 17 years and owns and operates a series of Boot Camps. They are workshops that educate and empower others to take their lives to the next level. The Boot Camps are topic specific and have gained national recognition including a documentary series on The Travel Channel entitled, “Cool Summer Camps”. She has been a special guest expert on The Dr. Phil Show, The Big Idea on CNBC, CMT, Vh1 and MTV. Dale is also the author of several books and empowerment CD’s. [Read more]
Make plans for this weekends Home and Garden Show

Clarksville, TN – The second annual Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Home and Garden Show, sponsored by Hutson, will be held this weekend at the Austin Peay State University’s Foy Center, 259 Marion Street.
The show will operate from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday, February 26th and from noon to 5:00pm on Sunday, February 27th. General admission is $5.00 and is free for children 12 and under and to all active duty military with current i.d. [Read more]

It will be a great opportunity to meet the new Chairman and learn about other networking events planned for the next year. Lunch and Learn with Kathryn Olita

Lunch and Learn Human Resources Series will be held on Tuesday, June 29th from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Chamber of Commerce. The discussion will be lead by Kathryn Olita of Batson, Nolan, Pearson Miller & Joiner.
Ms. Olita will speak on the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Acts, the final revised amendments to the Family Medical Leave Act, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Employer’s Freedom of Choice Act.
