Homecoming is October 24th-27th. Here is a list of events planned as part of the week long celebration. Many of the events are open to the public.

Some of the events include a Student Talent Show, Golf Tournament, Alumni Receptions, 5K Run, Homecoming Parade, Homecoming Football game and so much more.

9-11 Ceremony to be held by Clarksville Fire Rescue

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, Clarksville Fire Rescue will be holding the annual ceremony honoring fallen firefighters and victims of the 9-11 tragedy. The event will begin at 6:00pm at the Main Fire Station, 802 Main Street, in Clarksville.

“This is the 11th anniversary of the 9-11 attack and, in many ways, it doesn’t seem possible that more than a decade has passed since that day,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. “This remembrance ceremony is an important part of offering our continuing thoughts and prayers to the families of the fallen and to show our gratitude to those brave men and women who protect us every day.” [Read more]

Road Closures announced for Rivers and Spires Festival

Rivers and Spires Festival 2012Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.

Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]

Brewfest is the newest event added to the Rivers and Spires Festival.Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Brewfest will feature 70 beer brands and introduce several new beers making their debut at the two-day, outdoor beer festival.

Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 20th-21st, the inaugural event will have craft beers, food and entertainment. A highlight of the festival is a free concert on Saturday night by Little Big Town.

Rivers and Spires Festival announces New Event

Rivers and Spires Festival 2012Clarksville, TN – Rivers and Spires Festival organizers announced today the addition of a new event for 2012. In recognition of the Festival’s 10th anniversary, Brewfest, an event where attendees can sample a variety of craft beers, has been added to the spring Festival’s celebrations.

According to Rivers & Spires Festival manager Doug Barber, it was Jeff Turner of Ajax Distributing Company who encouraged the city to add the new event.

Brewfest is the newest event added to the Rivers and Spires Festival.
