Shemberger places in top 10 age group at Rev3 Olympic Triathlon

Restore Performance MassageClarksville, TN – Russ Shemberger, a licensed sports massage therapist at Restore Performance Massage on Madison Street in Clarksville, finished sixth in his age group in the Rev3 Olympic Triathlon held Sunday, May 5th in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Shemberger finished the approximately 1-mile swim, 25-mile bike and 6.2-mile run with a total time of 2:41 and placed sixth in his age group (male 45-49).

Leah Foote Shows ‘Snippets of Beauty’ at Planters Bank May 2nd

Planters BankClarksville, TN – The Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery space will feature “Snippets of Beauty,” a watercolor exhibit by Clarksville artist Leah Foote. The exhibit will be on display Thursday, May 2nd-Wednesday, June 5th at 1971 Madison Street during regular bank hours.

Since retiring from a career in the local school system in 2007, Foote has devoted time to art. She has always been drawn to the light and translucence in watercolor, so it was natural for this medium to be her preference.

Rivers and Spires Festival wraps up today with activities, music galore

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival concludes today in Historic Downtown Clarksville. The event gets started at 10:00am with food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities. There will be acts and music going on five separate stages all day and into the night.

One of the best things about Rivers and Spires, is that it’s free and open to the public.

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival will be begin Thursday April 18th and continue through Saturday, April 20th. The streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville will be lined with food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.

There will be over 100 acts performing all three days on five seperate stages. Music, art, food, there is something at Rivers and Spires for everyone to enjoy. And the truly great thing is that all the concerts and activities are free.

Clarksville resident Russ Shemberger places in top 10 at Murray Half-Marathon

Restore Performance MassageClarksville, TN – Russ Shemberger, a licensed massage therapist at Restore Performance Massage on Madison Street in Clarksville, finished sixth overall in the Murray Half-Marathon on Saturday, April 13th in Murray, Kentucky.

Shemberger finished the 13.1-mile course in 1:37:08 and won his age group (male 45-49).

Shemberger is a veteran triathlete.

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water is pleased to announce an exciting customer service software upgrade coming in early April. The final phase of the upgrade is planned for Friday, April 5th, and will require both customer service centers close for the day.

Scott Dunaway joins Clarksville Chiropractic Center

Dr. Scott D. Dunaway is now available to see patients, effective February 4th. Dunaway graduated cum laude from the Logan College of Chiropractic in December 2012. His bachelor’s degree comes from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

“My education has equipped me with techniques to treat all different body types from infants to the elderly,” he said.
