No matter what your ideal entertainment might be, the 2011 festival, scheduled April 14th-16th, will have an array of options to keep your senses busy and your family amused. Of those, are two specialized events that are making their appearance again after successful debuts at past Rivers & Spires Festivals.
Clarksville’s 4th Annual Downtown for the Holidays

Clarksville, TN – Be a part of a Clarksville tradition by celebrating this year at the 4th Annual Downtown for the Holidays celebration presented by the City of Clarksville and US Bank, in Downtown Clarksville, December 4th beginning at 3:00pm.
The event kicks off with the Jingle Bell Jog 5K sponsored by the City of Clarksville and R3. The race will begin at 3:00pm, followed by a youth run at 3:45pm. You can register now at www.active.com. Deadline to register is December 2nd.

APSU Autumn Salon Series to Feature Glee-Inspired Choral Concert

Clarksville, TN – At 7:00pm on November 22nd, a group of local high school students will sing and dance to contemporary songs and classic show tunes, just like the cast of a certain Fox television show.
The “Glee”-inspired choral concert, which is free and open to the public, will be performed at the Madison Street United Methodist Church by the Austin Peay State University Community School for the Arts Teen Choir. The event is part of the Autumn Salon Series, hosted by the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.

It is spring time again, and April is upon us. That means one thing, Rivers and Spires is just around the corner! The free three day festival will be held on April 15th-17th. It brings people from across the country to Historic Downtown Clarksville to enjoy some of the best entertainment, unique arts & crafts, and the distinctive culture our city has to offer.
The festival this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! With many new events, big name performers, and three days of non-stop fun, there is something for everyone!
Unity Service planned for Clarksville community

The Clarksville Area Ministerial Association will sponsor its twelfth Annual Unity Worship Service in loving memory of what Jesus Christ did through the late Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., January 19, at 6 p.m.
This will be very important event in that we soon will have a new President who as fulfilled the dream of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.
The event is hosted by Madison Street United Methodist Church at 319 Madison Street, Clarksville.
