Two APSU students earn award for research on Autism Spectrum Disorders

Clarksville, TN – Last month, two Austin Peay State University students – Tiffany Anderson and Kelsea Keith – won the Best Poster Presentation award at the Fall Conference of the Tennessee Association of School Psychologists at Montgomery Bell State Park.
Their research compared the recently published definition of Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders: Fifth Edition (DSM-5) with the Tennessee State Department of Education’s definition of Autism. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – On a recent afternoon, Austin Peay State University psychology student Caitlin Nelms was in the library, checking her email, when she noticed a message sitting in her junk mail folder. It had been there a few days.
When she clicked on it, the message informed her that she was the sole recipient of a prestigious summer internship offered through the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Society of Neuroscience’s and Vanderbilt University’s Summer Science Academy.

Austin Peay State University students inducted into nontraditional Student Honor Society

Clarksville, TN – Alpha Delta Psi, the Austin Peay State University chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for nontraditional students, held its annual induction ceremony on March 24th.
The main goal of Alpha Sigma Lambda is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.
