Clarksville brewery aims to raise funds for local nonprofits through ‘Ale-truism’

King’s Bluff Brewery is donating a portion of proceeds to Habitat for Humanity and other local nonprofits.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TennesseeClarksville, TN – Thanks to the generosity of King’s Bluff Brewery (KBB), Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TN will now benefit from funds raised by a new beer on tap at the local gathering spot.

The new brew, known as the Hometown Honey Golden Ale, is part of KBB’s ‘Ale-truism’ program.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Clarksville Film Festival Winners

Screening and awards held after months of delay

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Eleven teams gathered at Freedom Point Event Center in February to begin a 52-hour scripting, filming, and editing marathon known as the Clarksville Film Festival presented by CDE Lightband.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation hosted the annual event, and while the teams were able to complete their films, the screening and awards ceremony was scheduled during the height of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, resulting in it being postponed indefinitely.

After months of waiting, the 2020 Clarksville Film Festival Screening and Awards were held on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at the Roxy Regional Theater.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – This year the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Annual Scholarship 5K Run will be virtual, in keeping with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state and local guidelines. Alumni, friends and community members can participate in the Run for the Govs Virtual 5K at any time between Saturday, September 12th, and Saturday, October 10th.

The Clarksville housing ministry is offering the unique ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ prints for $25.00 each

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TennesseeClarksville, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee (HFHMCTN) is offering a unique custom-designed poster to support low income housing in Clarksville.

The posters, made by Hatch Show Print of Nashville, are $25.00 each (including shipping) and can be purchased online (http://habitatmctn.org/clarkville-habitat-for-humanity-donate/). Orders should include a full name and address for shipping. No pickups at this time. Additional posters are $20.00 each if combined in single shipment.

Kings Bluff Brewery, Dunbar Cave State Park create Dunbar Draught

Kings Bluff BreweryClarksville, TN – Kings Bluff Brewery has been working on a project with their friends at Dunbar Cave State Park, and @tennesseestateparks on Meet the Dunbar Draught!

It’s a black lager, fermented in the depths of Clarksville’s best known cave, Dunbar Cave. This small batch will be spun up into a large batch, with a portion of proceeds going to the Friends of Dunbar Cave Foundation to raise awareness and help with cave upkeep.
