APSU African American Cultural Center seeking funds for Scholarships and grad ceremony

Clarksville, TN – Several years ago, a group of Austin Peay State University graduates endowed the African American Alumni Scholarship fund to provide African-American students with the opportunity to earn a college education.
After a successful initial investment, financial support for the scholarship slowly dried up. In the last few years, it has sat dormant, unable to provide assistance for deserving students. [Read more]
APSU staff members honored for continuous service, retirement or education

Clarksville, TN – Several employees at Austin Peay State University were recognized Friday, July 22nd for their continuous years of service. A reception was held in the Morgan University Center ballroom to honor those employees.
Donna Liverett, administrative assistant in the APSU Department of Chemistry, was honored for her 40 years of service to APSU.
Employees with 25 years are Clifford Frederick, Cheryl Garrett, David Gleckler, Denise Hemingway, Michele Jones, Betty Leimer and Julia McGee.

APSU faculty, staff lauded for their efforts

Several faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University demonstrated noteworthy accomplishments recently.
Three APSU leaders were tapped for the 2010-11 Leadership Clarksville program: Dr. Dixie Dennis, associate provost of Grants and Sponsored Programs and dean of the College of Graduate Studies; Lee Hall, first lady of APSU; and Bill Persinger, executive director of Public Relations and Marketing.
