Clarksville, TN – The Annual Barbara Johnson Unity Day Breakfast was held at the Quality Inn Hotel on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Many elected officials, pastors, and active members of the community were present to show their commitment to unification for the betterment of the Clarksville Tennessee community.
Awards were presented to former City Council Woman Barbara Johnson and several others to recognize their achievement in addition to elected officials addressing those in attendance.

Clarksville, TN – Yesterday morning Publix held the grand opening and ribbon cutting for their newest location, the store is the first of three Publix locations planned for our area. Shoppers started lining up outside the store with the first arriving around 3:00am, and the bulk starting to arrive around 5:00am for the 6:45am ribbon cutting.
The Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce conducted the ribbon cutting with Store Manager Norman Rubio Jr. doing the honors, with Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers and Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan holding the ribbon.

The surgical technology suite now has two complete beds, mannequins and sets of instruments along with a state of the art laparoscopy tower that provides high quality digital images for arthroscopy and endoscopy procedures.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan holds Press Conference on Charter Revision Plan

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan held a press conference Friday January 24th, 2012 at 11:00am to discuss her plan for addressing the needed revisions to Clarksville Charter.
Some of the topics covered included the need to update and revise the City Charter and the issue of people on boards and commissions who also having dealings with the City as well as appointing a Charter Revision Commission.
Mayor McMillan is sending the Charter Revision back to the Clarksville City Council for another vote.
Go Red For Women to Promote Heart Health

Clarksville Liberty Park Boat Ramp Access Closed for Construction

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will offer “Operation Safe Ride” on New Year’s Eve again this year.
The free service is open to anyone who is too impaired to drive home. People who live within the city’s limits can call for a ride between the hours of 11:00pm and 4:00am for a ride home. [Read more]
