Clarksville, TN – As previously announced, the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is expanding its regional bus service to and from Clarksville and is adding a new Cheatham County stop in Pleasant View beginning April 1st, 2013.

Billy Atkins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Legends Bank, began the celebration by thanking all the employees. He gave special mention to Britney Campbell, their VP of Marketing. “Britney is the one who drove this effort, she told us what to do and we listened,” he joked.
DBS & Associates Engineering gets Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

When David B. Smith, company president, decided DBS & Associates Engineering would participate in CMC Green Certification, he asked three employees to form a “green team” and work with employees throughout the firm to solicit ideas and take the steps to become green certified.
Clarksville Street Department to offer Yard Debris Pickup Service March 18th through April 8th

Rivers and Spires named Best Festival at Southeast Festivals and Events Association Conference

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival is pleased to announce that they were the recipient of two Gold Awards at the Southeast Festivals and Events Association (SFEA) Conference this past week in Auburn, AL.
The Festival won Gold Awards for being the “Best Festival With A Budget Over $75,000” and for the “Best Creative Idea”. The 2012 Festival Media Kit was submitted for the creative award.

Clarksville Police Break Ground on Scenario House

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department broke ground today on a long awaited Scenario House. The Scenario House will enhance the training capabilities of the department by providing a realistic training environment.
The Scenario House became a reality through the economic support of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Clarksville City Council, and the citizens of Clarksville.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces Design Review Task Force Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will host the first organizational meeting of the newly appointed Design Review Task Force on February 5th, 2013 at 3:00pm.
The public meeting will take place in the City Hall Conference Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. The Task Force’s goal is to review Clarksville’s design review committee structure and present recommendations to simplify and streamline the design approval process. [Read more]
