APSU to present world premiere of John Patrick Shanley’s ‘Five Savory Dishes’

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) will present “Five Savory Dishes” – a world premiere evening of one-act plays written Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley from Thursday, November 21st through Sunday, November 24th, 2019.
CMCSS announces Assistant Principal Appointments

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) announces that Abby Binkley, who has been assistant principal at Glenellen Elementary School has been tapped to serve in the same capacity at Minglewood Elementary School, replacing Ashlie Perry who was named Minglewood principal.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 26th, 2019 the Austin Peay State University Department (APSU) of Theatre and Dance and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) will host a public question and answer session with Tony-winning director and Acuff chair Freddie Ashley. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be at 2:00pm in the Trahern Theatre.

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, March 20th at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00 pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

New Executive Director of Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation Named

Clarksville, TN – Abby Binkley has been named Executive Director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation.
Binkley, who earned her B.S. in K-12 health and physical education from Kennesaw State University and her master’s of education degree in administration and supervision from Bethel University, has one year of school administrative experience and nine years of teaching experience in Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
Clarksville Montgomery County School System names Assistant Principal for Carmel Elementary

Montgomery County, TN – Susan Holloway has been selected by the Clarksville Montgomery County School System to serve as assistant principal at the community’s newest elementary school, set to open in August.
Holloway currently is the advanced learning specialist for first through fifth grades in the Cobb County, Georgia school system, where she has worked since 1998.
