Clarksville’s Riverfest Regatta brings excitement to Festival

Clarksville, TN – Truly one of the most unique, fun, events at Clarksville’s Riverfest is the Regatta boat race. Unlike other boat races, participants in the Regatta compete in boats made from cardboard, plastic bottles and other approved materials.
The race kicked off at 10:00am at the McGregor boat dock. Competitors raced 100 yards on the Cumberland River to the finish line.

Thirty Two Graduate from Regional Leadership Program
Nashville, TN – Thirty two community and business leaders from Middle Tennessee have graduated from Leadership Middle Tennessee, Inc., a regional leadership institute.
The 2015 class is from the 10-county area which includes Cheatham County, Davidson County, Dickson County, Maury County, Montgomery County, Robertson County, Rutherford County, Sumner County, Williamson County and Wilson County.

Clarksville TN – The ‘Wounded Warrior Welcome Project’ was formed in 2011 to welcome home injured soldiers who were returning to Middle Tennessee. The Project has organized welcome homes for more than a half dozen soldiers returning from their stays at Army Medical Hospitals in Washington D.C. and Texas.
In addition, we made 4 trips to Walter Reed Medical Hospital in 2011 and will be making another visit this month. [Read more]
Dancing with the Stars comes to Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – The orchestra is tuning up, the dance shoes are nervously tapping backstage and the excitement is building for Saturday night’s Fourth Annual Dancing with the Stars presented by Altrusa International of Clarksville. This annual fundraiser brings together local celebrities and dancing professionals for an evening of stellar entertainment.
This year’s celebrities include: Cassandra Osborne from CEMC, Jameson Griffis with Merrill Lynch, Felicia Long from Keller Williams Realty, Kay Sites of Sites & Sutton Marketing, Scott Jensen with Planters Bank and Kayla Goad LeVan from Byers & Harvey, Inc.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville City Councilman Nick Steward will hold a public meeting and press conference tomorrow, the 1st of February, 2012. This meeting will be held at the offices of Keller Williams Realty located at 2271 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville. It will began at 12:30pm and will last for approximately 20 minutes.
Councilman Steward will discuss his plans to run for State House District 74 during the 2012 election cycle. Please join Nick for this special occasion.

Clarksville, TN – Due to unseasonably chilly weather and a blustery wind, the third day of Rivers and Spires looked like it was going to end with a whimper rather than a bang, the victim of the unpredictable spring weather. However as the afternoon wore on, more and more people showed up to enjoy all that the festival had to offer. “The crowd hung in even though we had monsoon winds and rains, and I think it says a lot about this festival, and how much people enjoy it” said Festival Manager Doug Barber.
