APSU celebrates 90th anniversary with special event and tree planting

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University President Alisa White and her husband, Elliott Herzlich, commemorated the University’s 90th anniversary with a special ceremony and tree planting on Wednesday.
The noon event took place on the lawn in front of the Browning Building, and it included performances by the Governors’ Own Marching Band, the APSU Chamber Singers, the University Choir, the Austin Peay Dance Team and members of the APSU Cheerleading Squad.

Clarksville, TN – The Fourth Annual Pass and Go event, a reward celebration for Clarksville-Montgomery County School System Advanced Placement students who score a 3, 4 or 5 on their exam, will be this Saturday at Wyatt Johnson, the event sponsor.
Katherine Johnson Cannata, Dealer Principal for Wyatt Johnson, is introducing a new dimension to the event. She is giving the overall winning student his or her choice of three cars: a Toyota Yaris, a Mazda 2 or a Hyundai Accent.

Clarksville, TN – For the second year in a row, Wyatt-Johnson has been named “GMC Dealer of the Year” – an honor awarded to only 18 dealerships out of 700 nationwide.
To commemorate this premier achievement, five GM executives visited Clarksville last week to host lunch and celebrate with 75 Wyatt-Johnson employees. This high honor was based on sales volume of Buick and GMC cars and trucks in 2010 as well as service records and customer satisfaction.

Clarksville, TN – Willie Rosario has been working in the sales department for the Wyatt-Johnson Automotive Group since 2007. Over the course of those four years, Willie has had hundreds of clients, including many with military ties. A former soldier himself, Willie knows firsthand what it truly means to serve his country and fight for our freedom.
Willie wanted come up with a unique way to express his appreciation for area soldiers’ continued service and sacrifices. After talking with Tammy Phillips, Family Readiness Group (FRG) leader for 4th Brigade Combat Team 506th Infantry Regiment, he learned that many single unmarried soldiers returning home from overseas deployments move back into practically bare Fort Campbell barracks rooms with very few amenities.
