In keeping with tradition and in celebration of Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday, John McDonald will once again don his top hat as Ebenezer Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”, running through December 22nd.

Under the direction of Tom Thayer, Dickens’ classic tale of Christmases Past, Present and Future meets such holiday standards as “A-Caroling We Go,” “Silent Night,” “Christmas Is Here,” “Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown” and more.

Richard O’Brien’s cult favorite tells the story of Brad Majors (played by Rob Rodems) and his fiancée Janet Weiss (played by Kaitlin Doughty), two clean-cut young people on the way to visit an old college professor. When they run into trouble and seek help at the freaky Frankenstein mansion, little do they know that Dr. Frank N. Furter (played by Matt Varelia) is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments!

Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, “9 to 5: The Musical” tells the story of three unlikely friends who, even in a man’s world, prove there’s nothing they can’t do! The musical is based on the 1980’s film, which starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin.

The musical stars Bailey Hanks as as the vivacious Doralee Rhodes; Amanda Morgan as Violet Newstead, the department supervisor; Lital Abrahams as housewife turned secretary Judy Bernly; Colin Ryan as everyone’s favorite “Sexist, Egotistical, Lying, Hypocritical Bigot” of a boss, Franklin Hart, Jr.; and Jill Twiss, as his administrative assistant and office spy Roz Keith. Downtown Clarksville Came to Life for the Seventh Annual Frolic on Franklin Street Arts Extravaganza

Clarksville, TNFrolic on FranklinThe community street fair featured 30 booths allowing local artists to showcase their talents and to sell their arts and hand-crafted items to the public. The booths featured a wide selection of photography, paintings and drawings, pottery, jewelry, glass items, and more.

The event also included a variety of entertainment and kids’ activities including the Kenwood High School Hi-Steppers, the Cumberland Winds Woodwind Quintet, the Northeast High School Exit One Show Choir, Red River Breeze, and the Loose Hinges. The evening closed out with the “9 to 5 The Musical” staring Bailey Hanks.

The Wedding Singer at the Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is currently staging their production of the smash hit musical The Wedding Singer which takes viewers on a flashback to the 1980s, complete with the big hair, corny clothes, and some amazing music.

In the show, we are back in 1985 with rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart (Josh Bernaski), New Jersey’s favorite wedding Singer. He is the life of every party, until his fiancée Linda (Sara Fetgatter) ditches him at the altar. He is “Shot through the heart” to paraphrase Bon Jovi, after which in his grief Robbie makes every wedding he sings at as disastrous as his own.
