Clarksville, TN – Originally published at the turn of the nineteenth century, Louisa May Alcott’s acclaimed story of love and family stands the test of time. This fall, the Roxy Regional Theatre presents a new version of this enduring American classic with “Little Women: The Musical”, November 7th – November 29th.
Based on Alcott’s own life and originally starring Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern in the Broadway production, “Little Women” follows the adventures of sisters Jo (Allie McCaw), Meg (Elena Pascullo), Beth (Laura Donnelly) and Amy March (Corinne Bupp) and their experiences growing up in Civil War America.

Will Sevier stars as the noble Jean Valjean, who has been released after 19 years of unjust imprisonment in pre-revolutionary France, only to find nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. Breaking his parole in hopes of starting a new life, he initiates a life-long struggle for redemption during which he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert (played by Donald Groves), who refuses to believe criminals can change their ways.

This spring, Boublil and Schonberg’s popular masterpiece takes the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre, March 28th – May 10th.
A grand opening celebration with the cast on Saturday, March 29th, launches the seven-week run of “Les Miserables”. Following that evening’s 8:00pm performance, audience members will be invited onstage to socialize with the cast over champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $50.00 (including the show).

In Robert and Willie Reale’s whimsical show, Frog and Toad wake from hibernation in the Spring, plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. Clarksville, TN – This November, the Roxy Regional Theatre brings the Great American Novel from the page to the stage with the regional premiere of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby”.
The production, adapted by Simon Levy, is the only stage version authorized by the Fitzgerald estate since 1926. A finalist for the PEN Literary Award in Drama, its world premiere at Minneapolis’ Guthrie Theater commemorated the opening of the Guthrie’s new three-stage center in July 2006.

Clarksville, TN – At a soirée last Tuesday evening at the home of arts supporters Mark and Ricki Holleman, the Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville’s oldest live theatre and only professional theatre, unveiled its 31st Anniversary Season.
