APSU repurposes programs and building in response to area’s needs

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University has retooled its engineering technology program Over the last year and is in the process of repurposing its Technology Building (formerly the Hemlock Semiconductor Building), to meet the growing manufacturing needs of the state.

Clarksville, TN – Three students in the Austin Peay State University Department of Engineering Technology recently earned top honors at the 125th Tennessee Academy of Science Meeting, held in Murfreesboro, TN.
APSU student Nicole Kirch won the first prize in the engineering and engineering technology posters section, with her paper titled “Comparison of the effectiveness of various filters on audio signals.” Kirch worked with Dr. Na Zhu, APSU associate professor of engineering technology.
