Clarksville, TN – When Austin Peay State University (APSU) moved spring classes online in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis, Dr. Jiang Li not only had to move three classes online, he had to move his office into a closet at his house.

Austin Peay State University adds new computer networking concentration for Bachelor of Science degree

Clarksville, TN – Tucked down a hallway in the new Austin Peay State University Maynard Mathematics and Computer Science Building, there’s a little-known computer lab that operates off the main campus grid. The 24 PCs that line the room have access to the internet, but they are not part of the APSU network.
“They’re totally disconnected from anything on campus,” Dr. Bruce Myers, chair of the APSU Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, said. “We use it to teach computer networking, but to teach that, you can’t just take your typical computer in a lab and let people starting working. They’re going to reconfigure things.” [Read more]
Provost Lecture Series at APSU kicks off 2010-11 academic year

Several faculty members at Austin Peay State University and scholars of local, regional, national and international renown will present their research and creative activity on campus during the 2010-11 academic year as part of a new series that launched last spring.
The Provost Lecture Series will kick off with a talk by Dr. Dewey Browder, professor and chair of history and philosophy, from 3:00pm-4:30pm, Thursday, September 9th in the Morgan University Center, Room 106. [Read more]
