APSU ROTC student puts nursing school to practice at Walter Reed internship

Clarksville, TN – Senior Michelle Demarais put what she’s learned at the Austin Peay State University (APSU) School of Nursing to practice this summer at one of the nation’s most well-known hospitals.

Trio of APSU ROTC students graduates from Air Assault School

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Governors Guard ROTC sent three of its students to the Sabalauski Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, this summer.
Communication major Jasmine Barrios, history graduate student Brandon Dickinson and computer information systems major Jertil Robinson attended the renowned school.

APSU Ranger Challenge team at front of Sandhurst competition

Clarksville, TN – At 6:30am Friday morning, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) ROTC Ranger Challenge team was one of the first four teams to start the Sandhurst military skills competition at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York.

The Austin Peay ROTC Ranger Challenge team cadets competing at the Sandhurst competition visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York City on Thursday.

Clarksville,TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Governor’s Guard ROTC cadets continue to show why they’re among the best in the nation.
Their latest achievement – finishing runner-up in the 7th Brigade ROTC Bold Warrior Challenge November 2nd-4th, 2018 at Fort Knox, Kentucky – strengthens the battalion’s claim to an eighth General Douglas MacArthur Award, which goes to the eight top-performing ROTC units in U.S. Army Cadet Command.
