Miller – Motte Technical College Partners with Sister Schools to Raise $14,000 to Benefit Shelter Box in Jeans for Japan Campaign

Clarksville, TN – In light of recent disasters in Japan, the students, faculty and staff of Miller-Motte Technical College (MMTC) created a campaign called Jeans for Japan to raise donations for the cause. Employees were encouraged to pay $1.00 to wear jeans instead of scrubs or professional attire.
APSU student organizations arrange car wash to help raise money for victims of tsunami in Japan

Clarksville, TN – Two student groups at Austin Peay State University have joined forces to raise money and educate the campus about the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in northeast Japan on March 11th.
The President’s Emerging Leaders Program and Student Life and Leadership will sponsor a car wash at 9:00am, Saturday, March 26th in the parking lot of Chick-fil-a on Madison Street. Operation Joint Dawn

Joint Contracting Exercise
Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell is hosting 115 contingency contracting officers during Operation Joint Dawn January 17th – February 5th.
Exercise participants are preparing to deploy within the next 12 months to Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar. Participants include active Army and Air Force, Army National Guard, and Army Reservists from 50 locations, including Alaska, Japan and Hawaii.
The exercise was designed to train Soldiers on “warrior tasks” in addition to a variety of contracting-specific tasks.
