Downtown Commons to host Nashville Symphony Concert, September 23rd

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Downtown Commons will host the prestigious Nashville Symphony on the evening of September 23rd.
Beginning at 7:00pm, the community will have the option to enjoy a variety of music on the lawn by some of the country’s most talented musicians.

Austin Peay State University names 2019 alumni award winners

Clarksville, TN – This November, during Austin Peay State University’s 2019 Homecoming celebration, the University will honor six distinguished individuals with this year’s APSU Alumni Awards.
The 2019 honorees are Outstanding Service Award recipients Dee Boaz and Shan Smith (’78); Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipients Catie Clinard (’11) and Bryan Johnson (’04); and Outstanding Alumni Award recipients Khandra Smalley (’05) and Richard Bibb (’65).

Jack B. Turner and Associates’ Bailey Martin achieves Membership in 2018 Million Dollar Round Table

Clarksville, TN – Jack B. Turner and Associates is pleased to announce that Bailey Martin CLU, for the 10th year in a row, and has achieved membership in the 2018 Million Dollar Round Table – The Premier Association of Financial Professionals.
Attaining membership in MDRT is a significant accomplishment achieved by less than 1 percent of the world’s insurance and financial service professionals.

APSU announces Candlelight Ball Award winners

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Office of Alumni Relations has announced the recipients of the 2016 Candlelight Ball Awards. The Wendell H. Gilbert Award will go to Jack B. Turner (’67), president of Jack B. Turner and Associates, and the Spirit of Austin Peay Award will go to Josh Baggett (’05), district engineering technician with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation.
Since 2011, the University has honored two individuals who have supported or brought recognition to APSU through their achievements or contributions. [Read more]
Decorated soldier awarded APSU ROTC CSM Darol Walker Award

Clarksville, TN – The recipient of the 2015 Command Sgt. Maj. Darol Walker Award at Austin Peay State University is ROTC Cadet Kevin Doss, a decorated career soldier.
Doss, born in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Boerne High School in 2001 and attended the University of Texas from 2001-03. He will graduate May 8th from APSU with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Military Science.
