The program was originally scheduled to be held in February 2014, but was delayed due to inclement weather.

Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library offers Free Downloadable Music and Online Classes

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library will be offering two new electronic resources for library card holders in Montgomery County – Freegal Music and Universal Class – available immediately on the library website: www.mcgtn.org/library — under the E-Resources tab.

Freegal Music, which is short for Free and Legal, is a resource that expands the collection of music available to C-MCPL library card holders by over 3 million songs. Each cardholder in good standing may download up to three MP3 files per week at no charge. These songs become the property of the library user once they are downloaded. [Read more]

2nd Brigade Combat Team - StrikeFort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionClarksville, TN – In what is believed to be a first for the U.S. Army, a Fort Campbell soldier from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Strike) re-enlisted on the air as part of the Air Strike program on Clarksville Radio Station WJZM 1400 AM.

As part of the 15th Episode of the highly entertaining program, Sgt. Joe Padula interviewed SPC Ilka Zaneta Luna, from Company B, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); a re-enlisting Strike Soldier, and her husband Jeramie.

Lydia WalkerClarksville TN – Local singer/songwriter Lydia Walker’s recent weekend digital album release party and music video premiere was a grand success! The excitement was at full throttle at Chick-fil-a of Madison Street as family and friends packed the dining area to view Lydia’s new video – When I Dance – for the first time.

Guests were also treated to personal introductions of each new song featured on Lydia’s project – Beloved. Main co-writer and producer Curt Ryle was on hand to enjoy the celebration as well as Sarah Lejeune of Feeling Good Entertainment who produced the music video.
