Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s sponsors Spay-Neuter Deal for Large Shelter Dogs in February

Clarksville, TN – Time is getting short! If you or someone you know is in the market to adopt a large dog, please visit Montgomery County Animal Control (MCAC) by the end of February.
Because for the month of February only (and in conjunction with the World Spay Day 2012 initiative), the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County will sponsor the spay or neuter surgery for any large dog (45+ pounds) adopted from MCAC. [Read more]
National Photo Contest to Provide Local Rewards

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s partnership with World Spay Day has made the Humane Society eligible for Grant funding just by participating in World Spay Day’s Pet Photo Contest.
All you have to do is enter your pet photo(s) for FREE and select the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County (HSCMC) as your charity of choice. The Humane Society will receive 100% of vote funds collected for photos earmarked with for HSCMC. [Read more]
Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Valentine Project for Chained Dogs

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County is very proud to be partnering with the wonderful students and teachers of Rossview Elementary School who will be making Valentines cards for chained dogs in our community.
Our goal is to mail 200 cards. This campaign is modeled after the Dogs Deserve Better initiative, which has been successful nationwide in reaching out to families of chained dogs and making a difference in the lives of so many of those animals.

The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County to hold Open House for Kitten Adoptions

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County will be holding an open house on Saturday from 10:30am till 2:00pm to find loving home for 14 adorable kittens.
Two pregnant cats were rescued by long-time HSCMC volunteer and local cat “guru” Elaine Weil, and as nature would have it, they gave birth to the 14 kittens.
The kittens have been raised to be outgoing and easy to handle. The Humane Society is afraid that the kittens may be overlooked because they aren’t tiny babies, they are about 5 months old, which is honestly a PURR-fect age! They deserve loving homes where they can get lots of individual attention.

Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County Open House Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County is proud to announce its first ever Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 10th from 1:00pm-5:00pm. The event will be held at the Humane Society office, which is located at 940 Tennessee Avenue, just behind Arby’s on Riverside Drive.
Guests will be able to visit with some of the foster animals currently available for adoption, shop for holiday gifts, purchase a variety of baked goods and enjoy refreshments and holiday music. Gift wrapping services will also be available for a donation.

Seeking Santa Paws Sponsors

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County’s foster pets have been “dressed” in the finest Christmas attire in hopes that a Secret Santa Paws will pick them!
All have submitted their wish lists – we have checked them twice – and, their foster homes assure us they have been less naughty and more nice. On behalf of our foster babies who don’t yet have furr-ever homes and the wonderful foster families who love them as their own throughout the year, we will be accepting online donations and hand delivered gifts under the Christmas tree at the Humane Society office through next Friday, December 9th during office hours 9:00am-2:00pm.
