Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County “Blessing of the Animals” this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 6th, the Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will have their Blessing of the Animals event the Courtyard at Trinity Episcopal Church starting at 10:00am.

Blessing of deceased, ill, and other animals that can’t be in attendance will be done by proxy (bring photos, stuffed animals, or other special items relating to the pet to be blessed). Foster families and rescue organizations are invited to attend! Light refreshments will be served. [Read more]

Volunteer for the 6th Annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will be holding their 6th Annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash Saturday, October 20th from 7:00pm to Midnight. This year’s theme is “Scary Fairy Tales”.

This event has turned out to be one of their best fundraisers thanks in large part of many, many volunteers. They need your help again this year to raise our goal of $20,000, which goes right back into our community to fund their current programs, services and spay-neuter clinic goals.

Total Canine Care hosting Multi-Rescue Yard Sale Fundraiser and Adoption event Sunday, September 9th

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, September 9th, 2012, Total Canine Care will be having a Multi-Rescue Yard Sale Fundraiser and Adoption event at their office from 11:00am to 5:00pm. All proceeds will be split with participating rescue organizations.

These vouchers are available to everyone. There is no documentation required. Other reduced pricing is available for all income levels. Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County to host Kitten Adoption Day Sunday

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, June 24th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, the Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will hold a Kitten Adoption Day.

The photos shown below look like they could have been pulled out of a professionally designed calendar, but every kitty you see is available for adoption through the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County.

As the kittens get older, it gets tougher and tougher to find them homes. During this time of year, the phones at local area shelters ring off the walls with individuals needing help placing litters of kittens (and spaying mama cats to prevent future litters).

Blessing for the Animals held Saturday at the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County

Clarksville, TN – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County hosted a Blessing of the Animals ceremony on Saturday, March 31st at 11:00am at the Humane Society building on Tennessee Avenue.

Reverend Dorothy Hartzog from Trinity Episcopal Church conducted the ceremony which allowed pet lovers to request a blessing for their animals both living and deceased.

Tina Hartman of Picture Your Photo was also on hand taking Spring and/or Easter professional pet photos.

Glenellen Elementary School Collects Pennies for Paws

Clarksville, TN – The fifth grade classes of Ms. Morris, Ms. Hoyt, Ms. Blick, Ms. Summers, Ms. Moseley and Ms. Hall at Glenellen Elementary School recently competed for a pizza party by collecting pennies (although no form of money was turned away!) for the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Ms. Hall’s class earned the pizza party raising nearly one-third of the total collected! But, the real winner was the Humane Society with an overall $331.22 raised.
