Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries of Clarksville invites the public to our first Community Yard Sale Saturday, August 13th, 2011 at from 7:00am to 2:00pm at Manna House at 1319 East Franklin Street Clarksville.
The benefit will help support three weekly Mobile Café events and other community services of the ministry. “We try to balance any request for funds with a fundraising event, so the community can see the sweat equity we put into the operation,” said Manna founder Kenny York. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Jersey Mike’s Subs will open its 25th store in the Nashville market next week. Jersey Mike’s owner Jeff Horn knows the importance of community relations and will celebrate his new ties with the area during his grand opening on July 20th.
To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 2808 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., is hosting a 5-day fundraiser from Wednesday, July 20th through Sunday, July 24th, with proceeds supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Anyone who has a fundraising coupon can get a free regular size sub with a minimum $1.00 contribution. More than 5,000 coupons are being distributed throughout the community. Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council is hosting an evening of champagne, an Irish supper and Celtic music at the Customs House Museum at 6:00pm on Friday, June 17th.
Irish country music will be performed by Vintage Wildflowers, stopping in Clarksville as part of their first tour, highlighted by a Washington, D.C., performance for the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage Concert Series.
Cans for Canines and Cats, too!

Clarksville, TN – Do you have aluminum cans? The Humane Society of Clarksville – Montgomery County has a fundraising program, Cans for Canines and Cats, too!, in partnership with Heimansohn Industrial Park.
You can participate by taking your recyclable cans and other metals to: the designated dumpster behind Mann, Smith & Cummings Insurance at 1997 Madison Street, or Heimansohn at the corner of Ashland City road and Gatlin road.
Be sure to have payments placed in the Humane Society account.
