Frazier Allen achieves recognition as Raymond James Financial Services 2012 Rising Star

7th Annual Frolic on Franklin Applications now Available

Clarksville, TN – Applications are now being accepted for booth space at the 7th annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts.” The event will be held on Saturday, September 15th from 9:00am-4:00pm in the 100-block of historic Franklin Street.
Coordinated by the Roxy Regional Theatre, the street event offers 30 vendor spaces where artists can showcase and sell fine arts and hand-crafted items, such as photography, paintings and drawings, pottery, jewelry, glass items, and more. The event also includes a variety of entertainment and kids’ activities throughout the day. [Read more]
City of Clarksville brings free 90 minute parking to Downtown Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Beginning on May 1st, 2012 and running through the end of June 2012, the City of Clarksville will offer free parking for 90 minutes on some downtown streets.
The 90 minute parking areas will be located on the 100 block of Franklin Street, Strawberry Alley and portions of Second Street. [Read more]

Road Closures announced for Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]
Easter Bunny visits the Clarksville Community Centers

Clarksville, TN – The Easter Bunny will be making appearances at each of our three community centers this Spring. Families are welcome to stop by between 5:00pm and 6:00pm to visit with the Easter Bunny and have their photos taken.

Austin Peay State University Woodward Library Society sets spring event

Clarksville, TN – An alumnus of Austin Peay State University who has made his name prominent in the acting circle will be the highlight at a signature event for the APSU Woodward Library Society.
David Alford (’89) – author, composer, actor, director and producer – will perform a few selections from his fact-based musical “Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders” at the society’s spring social on Tuesday, March 20 in the Franklin Room of the F&M Bank, located on Franklin Street in downtown Clarksville. He also will share details of his creative writing process.
