Broadway and MTV Star Bailey Hanks Takes On Dolly Parton Role in “9 to 5” at the Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – Broadway and MTV star Bailey Hanks* leads the pack of plays and musicals in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 30th Season with 9 to 5: The Musical, opening Friday, September 14th, at 8:00pm.
Hanks, the winner of MTV’s “The Search for Elle Woods” and star of Broadway’s Legally Blonde, takes on the Dolly Parton role in this hilarious musical comedy based on the film also starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, 9 to 5: The Musical tells the story of three unlikely friends who, even in a man’s world, prove there’s nothing they can’t do!
“9 to 5: The Musical” begins September 14th at the Roxy Regional Theatre starring Bailey Hanks.

7th Annual ‘Frolic on Franklin’ Features Artistic Variety

Clarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s 7th Annual Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts will take place Saturday, September 15th from 9:00am-4:00pm. The free event will showcase the works of 26 local and regional artists along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.
A variety of original artwork and crafts will be on display including jewelry and beaded items, pottery, paintings, woodwork, ceramics, glass items, fabric items, photography, garden and seasonal items, and more. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2 – $2,000.

Students and community members are invited to use the collection’s hand-carved wood letters and antique printing presses to created broadsides and prints that express their personal opinions about contemporary issues. The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.
