Clarksville Community Centers to close temporarily for annual maintenance

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation would like to remind citizens that each of the three community centers will be closing temporarily to conduct their annual maintenance period.

Clarksville, TN – This November, the Roxy Regional Theatre explores the question, “What would you would be willing to compromise in order to lead a life free of poverty, war and suffering?”
Based on Lois Lowry’s Newbery Award-winning book, “The Giver” will captivate and transform both young and old alike with five public performances only, beginning Wednesday, November 14th, at 7:00pm.

Entries now being accepted for the 53rd Annual Christmas Parade

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government have partnered with Agero to host the 53rd Annual Christmas Parade.
The parade will be a night-time, lighted Christmas parade and is scheduled for December 1st, 2012 beginning at 5:00pm.
This year’s parade will feature both the Austin Peay State University Governors Own Marching Band and the Tennessee State University Band, dozens of businesses and organizations, as well as Santa Claus.

Owned by Clarksville native and recent Austin Peay State University graduate Kaley Drew, Couture Crush surpassed first year goals and attributed strong local customer response to the better-than-planned sales.

Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County “Blessing of the Animals” this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 6th, the Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will have their Blessing of the Animals event the Courtyard at Trinity Episcopal Church starting at 10:00am.
Blessing of deceased, ill, and other animals that can’t be in attendance will be done by proxy (bring photos, stuffed animals, or other special items relating to the pet to be blessed). Foster families and rescue organizations are invited to attend! Light refreshments will be served. [Read more]
