Clarksville, TN – The “Planters Bank Presents…” film series next movie will be “It’s a Wonderful Life”. This movie will be shown at the Roxy Regional Theatre at this Sunday, November 27th, 2016 2:00pm.
“It’s a Wonderful Life” is about George Bailey wishing he had never been born and an angel is sent to earth to make George’s wish come true. George starts to realize how many lives he has changed and impacted, and how they would be different if he was never there.

Clarksville, TN – The “Planters Bank Presents…” film series next movie will be “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. This movie will be shown this Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at the Roxy Regional Theatre at 2:00pm.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark” is about Dr. Indiana Jones, a renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, who is hired by the U.S. Government to find the Ark of the Covenant, which is believed to still hold the ten commandments. Unfortunately, agents of Hitler are also after the Ark.

A new musical comedy by the Grammy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated composer and lyricist, Harry Connick, Jr.’s “The Happy Elf” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Thursday, November 24th, at 7:00pm.
Directed by Ryan Bowie and choreographed by Emily Rourke, “The Happy Elf” follows Eubie the Elf on his musical mission to bring Christmas cheer to Bluesville, a town on Santa’s naughty list. But can he turn a whole town of naughty children nice in just one day?

“E.T. the Extra Terrestrial” is about After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott. Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister. The children decide to keep E.T’s existence a secret.

They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage..

Montgomery County announces Billy Ray Cyrus to Ride in Veterans Day Parade

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to announce that country singer Billy Ray Cyrus will be riding in the Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 5th, as a guest of Appleton’s Harley Davidson.
Cyrus, along with a special guest of his, will be riding with a group of motorcyclists in the parade to support Operation Home Front.

This fall, the Roxy Regional Theatre delves into these questions with the company’s 32nd annual foray into the works attributed to William Shakespeare. An exploration into the nature of leadership and its relationship to morality, “Henry V” opens Friday, November 4th, at 8:00pm, for a limited run.
One of Shakespeare’s most famous history plays and the final in a tetralogy preceded by Richard II, Henry IV, Part 1, and Henry IV, Part 2, the play is based on the life of King Henry V of England and centers around events occurring before and after the battle of Agincourt in 1415, during the Hundred Years War.
