Children’s Auditions for “The Wizard of Oz” at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Saturday, July 8th

Clarksville, TN – Local youth will have the opportunity to work alongside professional actors when the Roxy Regional Theatre holds children’s auditions for Munchkins and other ensemble characters in “The Wizard of Oz” on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at noon.
Children ages 8 and up should come prepared with “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead” and be dressed to move in comfortable clothing and shoes, as the audition will also include a dance portion.

Grease is a 1978 American musical romantic comedy film based on Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s musical of the same name. The film depicts the life of Rydell High School students Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson in the late 1950s. Directed by Randal Kleiser and written by Bronte Woodard,[2] the film stars John Travolta as Danny, Olivia Newton-John as Sandy and Stockard Channing as Betty Rizzo.
City of Clarksville opens two new B-Cycle stations

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan cut a ribbon Monday to open one of Clarksville’s two new bike share stations.
The ceremony, at the Pollard Road trailhead on the Clarksville Greenway, included Clarksville Academy students, Community Health Foundation board members and Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department leaders.
A second new station, at Public Square and Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville, also opened Monday.

“A League of Their Own” is about two sisters (Geena Davis and Lori Petty) joining the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amidst their own growing rivalry. The film’s all-star cast also includes Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell, with Tom Hanks as the team’s washed-up, hard-drinking coach.
