Pre-Parade SpiritFest Promises Fun, Family-Friendly Activities

Clarksville, TN – The 3rd Annual SpiritFest, a holiday event from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, will offer a bounty of free activities, including visits with Santa Claus, rides on the International Express Bus, four kids’ inflatables, live music on the new Downtown Commons stage, ice skating, art and gift markets, food trucks and a live nativity with animals.
It will start three hours before Clarksville’s 58th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, which will pass by its location in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

SpiritFest, a free “Pre-Parade Celebration of Christmas,” will feature kids’ inflatables, Santa Claus, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas music performances by multiple groups, a live nativity including animals, food trucks and two art and gift markets.

Clarksville, TN – The “Planters Bank Presents…” film series to show “Meet Me in St. Louis” this Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at the Roxy Regional Theatre at 2:00pm.
“Meet Me in St. Louis” is a classic romantic musical comedy that focuses on four sisters on the cusp of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. The film spotlights the sisters’ education in the ways of the world, which includes, but isn’t limited to, learning about life and love, courtesy of the prototypical boy next door.

Clarksville, TN – “Ah, what fools these mortals be!” An annual tradition at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville takes a twist this fall with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of A Midsumer Night’s Dream: The Musical, opening Friday, November 3rd, at 8:00pm.
In keeping with the theatre’s opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Fright on Franklin has Large Turnout in Chilly Weather

Clarksville, TN – Ghouls and goblins took over Downtown Clarksville Saturday during Fright on Franklin. Despite the cold, hundreds filled the streets to take part in safe trick or treating and Halloween fun.
More than 70 local organizations and businesses took part providing candy and treats for those in attendance.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for this year’s Fright on Franklin event from 3:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, October 28th, 2017 in downtown Clarksville.
Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and more in historic downtown Clarksville. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon of frighteningly fun Halloween-themed activities.
2Rivers Paint-Out artists paint Clarksville en plein air

Clarksville, TN – Artists from around Middle Tennessee took advantage of the lovely weather this past weekend as they painted scenes of Clarksville’s downtown and river district in the fourth annual 2Rivers Plein Air Paint-Out.
The paint-out culminated with an awards reception, exhibition and sales of work produced through the weekend at the Tree of Life Center.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade set for November 11th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.
Keynote speaker is Army retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 John Clement, who currently serves as the Field Representative for Congressman Marsha Blackburn representing the 7th Congressional district of Tennessee.
