“A Chorus Line” to Kick Off Season 37 at the Roxy Regional Theatre, September 6 – September 28

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is high-stepping into Season 37 of live entertainment on the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville with a stunning concept musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition.
“A Chorus Line” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, September 6th, 2019 at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Clarksville, TN – With over a month to go, booth space at the 14th annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” is already going quickly. Less than ten slots remain for artists and arts demonstrators at this year’s event.
Interested artists may download a vendor application at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org/frolic. Completed applications, with a $30.00 entry fee, must be received by Monday, August 12th.
Frolic on Franklin will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2019 from 8:30am to 3:30pm, in the 100-block of Franklin Street in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation maintenance crew gets facility upgrade

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department people who maintain the grounds and facilities are getting a major facilities upgrade of their own.
For years, Grounds & Facilities Maintenance worked out of an old building at 1210 Franklin Street that had served as the City Garage. It had no air conditioning, limited office space, a small break room and inadequate restrooms.

Crew Chief Charles Simon, maintenance specialists James Barrineau and Brandon West, and Rodney Ammons, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Manager, are happy to have a new break room as part of their workplace at 1210 Franklin Street. Their project provided improved office space and work areas.

14th Annual Frolic on Franklin accepting Vendor Applications

Clarksville, TN – The 14th annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” is currently accepting applications for booth space.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, in the 100-block of Franklin Street in Historic Downtown Clarksville.
Coordinated by the Roxy Regional Theatre, the street event offers 30 vendor spaces where artists can showcase and sell fine arts and hand-crafted items, such as photography, paintings and drawings, pottery, jewelry, glass items, and more. The event also includes a variety of entertainment and kids’ activities throughout the day.
