Movies in the Park 2011 season to kick off May 28th

Movies in the ParkClarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the FREE outdoor movie series at the Heritage Park Soccer fields, wrapped up its 2010 season with record attendance numbers.

The eight 2010 Movies in the Park films had an average crowd of more than 500 moviegoers per movie throughout the season. Monsters v. Aliens on May 22nd set an attendance record for the 5-year-old series with a crowd of more than 1,300 people.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemClarksville, TN – Giving Clarksville-Montgomery County School System students real-world knowledge and hands-on experience has been made possible by this month’s Board of Education Point of Pride recipient, the Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union.

CMCSS’s Career Technical Education (CTE) has worked closely with FCFCU president and CEO Stewart Ramsey, vice president of retail operations Melody Swindall and executive vice president Maria McKee to plan and implement the student credit unions at Northeast High School and Rossview High School.

Student Operated Credit Unions Opening Soon

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemThirty two Northeast and Rossview School students have spent their summer with sums, learning the financial ropes of operating their own credit unions, which will open in late August on each campus.

Fort Campbell Federal Credit UnionFort Campbell Federal Credit Union and Clarksville Montgomery County School System began making plans last winter to institute student operated credit union branches at both Northeast and Rossview High Schools. Current plans are for the Northeast branch to be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Rossview will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Both branches will be open during the lunch periods, and details are being worked out for hours at the branches.

Fort Campbell Federal Awards Scholarships

June 4, 2010

Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union awarded college scholarships to six student members totaling up to $10,000 each.

The Credit Union Scholarship Program was established to help graduating high school seniors pursue higher educations. The scholarships will be used to gain trade certification, undergraduate or associates degrees. Each scholarship will be paid directly to the school at a level of $1,250 per semester for up to eight semesters.

Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Home, Lawn, And Farm Show this weekend

It’s only 24 days until March 20th, the first official day of spring! And it’s time to start thinking about your garden, your yard and what kind of flowers you want to plant this year! The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is giving you a head start with their 1st Annual Home, Lawn & Farm Show, which is being held this weekend (February 27-28) from 10am-8pm Saturday, and Sunday from 12-8pm at Austin Peay State University’s Red Barn at 256 Marion Street. General admission is $5, and children 12 & under are free.

Vendors will be available to help you accomplish all of your springtime goals, whether you want elaborate landscaping, a new patio or a simple flower bed. Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union Announces $1 Million Member Giveback

Fort Campbell Federal Credit UnionFort Campbell Federal Credit Union has just announced that it will be giving $1 million back to its members in patronage dividends this year.

“We have given over $6 million back to members of the credit union over the past 5 years alone and we’re so proud to be able to continue this tradition”, says Stewart Ramsey, President and CEO of Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union.

The over 36,600 members of the credit union can look for the patronage dividend to be deposited into their share savings account the week of December 7th, 2009.  The amount that each member will receive is calculated based on the length of membership and number of services used including checking, loans, and use of online banking.
