Clarksville, TN – For free family fun, join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, July 30th, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for the Movies in the Park event for July, featuring the 2006 fantasy adventure-comedy film, “Night at the Museum,” which is rated PG.
All movies start at dusk – around 8:10pm this Saturday– with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation on Friday, July 22nd, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for the Movies in the Park event for July, featuring the 2008 comedy-drama film, “The Bucket List,” which is rated PG-13.
The Bucket List is directed by Rob Reiner and features Jack Nicholson, and Morgan Freeman; backed up by Sean Hayes, Beverly Todd, Rob Morrow, Alfonso Freeman, Christopher Stapleton, Ian Anthony Dale, Richard McGonagle, and Lauren Cohn. All movies start at dusk with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.
When corporate mogul Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) wind up in the same hospital room, the two terminally ill men bust out of the cancer ward with a plan to experience life to the fullest before they kick the bucket. In a race against the reaper, the new friends hit the tables in Monte Carlo, down obscene amounts of caviar and tear up the road in supercharged cars. Rob Reiner directs.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday July 9th the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation held Movies in the Park featuring the Kevin Costner hit Field of Dreams. Around 100 people gathered on the grass at Heritage park to enjoy the outdoor movie, fortunately the current heatwave had not yet hit our area.
Come down to McGregor Park Tonight and Celebrate Independence Day

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Aetna Insurance are joining together to celebrating our nation’s independence with the fourth annual Independence Day Celebration tonight down at McGregor Park. The event will be filled with food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. It all starts 6:00pm.
Local performers Tina Brown and Chris Robertson will provide live music throughout the evening, followed by country music artist, John Anderson. With more than 40 singles on the Billboard country music charts, Anderson has five Number Ones: “Wild and Blue,” “Swingin’,” “Black Sheep,” and “Money in the Bank.” The night will end with a spectacular fireworks finale, the largest in Clarksville.

Because of heavy rain, last Saturday’s showing of “Transformers” was cancelled and has been rescheduled for Friday, September 30th.

A Power Breakfast will be held at Riverview Inn, 50 College Street, on June 9th at 7:30am. Rudy Kalis will serve as the keynote speaker for this event. From his humble beginnings as a 5-year-old German immigrant, Emmy award winner Rudy Kalis has garnered a long and exciting career as one of the nation’s premiere sports newscasters.
