Manna Café Ministries “Block Party” a hit with the Community

Clarksville, TN – Manna Cafe Ministries is about feeding, loving and nurturing the poor and homeless. This past Saturday, they held a “Block Party” for the New Providence community at the Vacation Motel located at 650 Providence Boulevard from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
There was a live DJ supplying the tunes and volunteers helping with the carnival games and serving the food. It was estimated that over 400 people came by to enjoy the fun.
A Good Time was had at the Taste of Shiloh Saturday

Palmyra, TN – The Taste of Shiloh event opened Saturday, August 25th, 2012, at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall with an overwhelming display of pinwheel appetizers, chicken stuffing with giblet gravy, barbecue, enchiladas, and double ricotta lasagna entrees, followed by gingerbread berry shortcake, caramel pie, and double chocolate cookies for dessert.
Two long counters were filled with too many foods to list.

Tennessee Crossroads to feature Clarksville Foundry May 10th

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Foundry, one of Clarksville’s oldest businesses and one of the oldest operating foundries in the United States, will be featured on Nashville Public Television’s “Tennessee Crossroads” program.
The program will air on WNPT Channel 8 on Thursday, May 10th at 7:00pm and Sunday, May 13th at 10:00am.

Charlie Foust, president of Clarksville Foundry, will appear on a segment of Tennessee Crossroads airing on May 10th at 7:00pm and May 13th at 10:00am on WNPT Channel 8.
5th Annual Project F.U.E.L. Fundraiser Block Party

Clarksville, TN – According to the Organic Consumers Association, a 1,000 acre U.S. corporate farm growing genetically engineered crops nets an average of $39.00 an acre. In contrast, a 4-acre family farm nets, on average, $1400 per acre. Small organic farms are proving to be even more profitable. Why? Road Closures announced for Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]
Clarksville’s Riverfest Continues Today

Clarksville, TN – The 2011 Riverfest Festival continues Saturday, September 10th featuring six stages of entertainment, art exhibits, crafts, vendors, delicious food.
The morning kicks off at 10:00am with the Riverfest Regatta. Started in 2007, crews manning boats built out of cardboard race down the Cumberland River. More boat than ever are expected at this year’s Riverfest Regatta.
