Road Closures Announced For Rivers and Spires

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 12th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Some street closures will begin Wednesday, April 23rd. All street will be open again Sunday, April 27th by 7:00am.
The following streets will be closed.
Austin Peay State University’s Barry Jones shares community’s hopes and dreams with new art project

Clarksville, TN – Barry Jones, Austin Peay State University associate professor of art, sat at his desk in a small basement studio off First Street in downtown Clarksville. The room was dark because of the rain outside.
It tapped softly against the windows while Jones rubbed his hand through his beard. He seemed as if he could use a cup of coffee or something with a bit of caffeine. His eyes, usually gleaming with a quiet happiness, were red from staring at a computer screen on this dreary Thursday afternoon.

Chili Cook Off to be held by City of Clarksville Departments to Benefit United Way

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, October 26th, 2012 several City of Clarksville Employees are participating in the Annual City of Clarksville Department Wide Chili Cook Off to Benefit the United Way.
The Event will be held on Friday October 26th from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the lower City Hall Parking Lot – located at the corner of First Street and Main Street downtown. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 10th Annual Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville.
Also, starting the morning of April 19th, parking will be restricted in some downtown areas. There will be orange “No Parking” bags placed over meters in the restricted parking areas. [Read more]

It is spring time again, and April is upon us. That means one thing, Rivers and Spires is just around the corner! The free three day festival will be held on April 15th-17th. It brings people from across the country to Historic Downtown Clarksville to enjoy some of the best entertainment, unique arts & crafts, and the distinctive culture our city has to offer.
The festival this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! With many new events, big name performers, and three days of non-stop fun, there is something for everyone!
