Downtown Commons Tree Lighting to be held this Saturday, December 2nd

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Join Montgomery County on December 2nd, 2023, to watch the annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting at Downtown Commons.

Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas Tree at 4:30pm with the parade beginning at 5:00pm. Come early to grab your seats!

SpiritFest 2023 to be held Saturday, December 2nd

SpiritfestClarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 2nd, Spiritfest 2023 will be held in downtown Clarksville from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Come to the corner of Third Street and Main Street for holiday festivities!

At the Downtown Commons (215 Legion Street), there will be live music, Santa Claus, kids’ activities, and food trucks. At 4:30pm, Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas Tree.

Warm up inside Trinity’s Parish Hall (317 Franklin Street) with cookies and hot chocolate.

Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade set for this Saturday, December 2nd

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The annual Lighted Christmas Parade, jointly presented by the Clarksville and Recreation Department and Montgomery County, will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 5:00pm.

The parade route will begin on Eighth Street on the Austin Peay State University campus. The parade will progress from Eighth Street to College Street and then to University Avenue.

From there, the parade will proceed around Public Square, the Historic Courthouse, and back to Franklin Street. The route will turn from Franklin onto Eighth Street and then return to the APSU Campus.

Fort Defiance Civil War Park to hold March to the Past this Saturday

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Have you ever wanted to experience life in the 19th century? Look no further than Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center’s upcoming event, March to the Past. On Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 10:00am to 3:00pm, visitors can step back in time and get a glimpse of what life was like during the Civil War era.

Partnering with The Friends of Fort Defiance, this event promises to be an immersive experience with 19th-century living history demonstrations. Attendees can witness Civil War camp life, watch musket and artillery firing, learn about period cooking, and even participate in fun children’s activities.

Downtown @ Sundown kicks off season May 5th featuring Matt Stell, Dalton Dover

Downtown CommonsClarksville, TN – This Friday, May 5th, 2023, Downtown @ Sundown is returning for the sixth year with Matt Stell and special guest Dalton Dover beginning at 7:00 pm! Matt Stell is an American country music singer, guitarist, and songwriter.

His song ‘Prayed for You’ and ‘Everywhere But On’ landed him in the top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay charts in 2019 and 2020.

Special guest and opener, Dalton Dover appeared on season 16 of ‘The Voice’ and most recently had his Grand Ole Opry Debut in December of 2022. Dover’s top songs include ‘Baby I Am’ ‘You Got a Small Town’ and ‘Giving Up On That.’

Performing traditional holiday tunes and carols with a Celtic flair, Red River Breeze will present ‘Tis the Season! at the Roxy Regional Theatre for one afternoon only, this Sunday, December 11th, 2022 at 2:00pm.
