Clarksville, TN – Dig out your fishnet stockings and dust off your stilettos! That sweet transvestite and his motley crew are returning for the 12th annual production of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show at the Roxy Regional Theatre, on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at 7:00pm.
In this annual tradition on the corner of Franklin and First, Austin Michael Russell and Mallory Wintz star as sweethearts Brad and Janet, who innocently set out to visit an old professor one fateful night. The night out is destined to be one they will never forget, as a thunderstorm and a flat tire lead them to the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, an alien, transvestite scientist with a manic genius and insatiable libido, played by a stiletto and fishnet stocking-clad Terrance McQueen.

Featuring the music of Dolly Parton and based on the hit 1980 comedy film, 9 to 5: The Musical is set in the late 1970s, when three female coworkers are pushed to the boiling point and concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss.
In a hilarious turn of events, Violet (Victoria Wolfe), Judy (Rachel Lind) and Doralee (Dana Cullinane) live out their wildest fantasy — giving their boss the boot! While their boss Franklin Hart (Travis Ulrich) remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.

Step Back in Time: Fort Defiance Park to hold ‘March to the Past’ Event this Saturday, May 11th

Clarksville, TN – Have you ever wanted to experience life in the 19th century? Look no further than Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center’s upcoming event, March to the Past. On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, visitors can step back in time and get a glimpse of what life was like during the Civil War era.
Partnering with The Friends of Fort Defiance, this event promises to be an immersive experience with 19th-century living history demonstrations. Attendees can witness Civil War camp life, watch musket and artillery firing by Clarksville’s own Porter’s Battery, learn about period cooking, and even participate in fun children’s activities.

Clarksville’s Art Extravaganza: Madison Street United Methodist Church Hosts Art for Faith’s Sake Art Fair on May 2nd

Clarksville, TN – Come out to Madison Street United Methodist Church Art for Faith’s Sake Art Fair on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, coinciding with the Clarksville Downtown Art Walk. This special event marks the church’s 25th Reconstruction Anniversary following the January 1999 F3 tornado.
From 5:00pm to 8:00pm, immerse yourself in the creative expressions of local artists at the Sid Johnson Gallery on the first floor, accessible through the Commerce Street entrance. “Art for Faith’s Sake” celebrates the church’s reopening after its rebuilding process, featuring artworks by past and present members of the congregation as well as artists from the wider community.

Historic Collinsville to Celebrate Season Opening April 13th

Clarksville, TN – Historic Collinsville in rural Montgomery County will open its annual season on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, featuring hands-on activities for all ages from 10:00am to 4:00pm as well as the newly opened Weakley House Museum.
The community is invited to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the opening of the Weakley House Museum on Friday, April 12th, at 2:00pm.
Visitors on April 13th will experience “Full STEAM Ahead,” a special theme for opening day with activities and programming featuring science, technology, engineering, art, and math (“STEAM”) projects alongside skilled tradesmen and period-dressed docents. Guests can become part of the past and interact with antiques as they explore the grounds and rooms of the historic buildings. All activities are included with special event admission.
