Clarksville Film FestivalClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Clarksville Film Festival kicked off Friday, February 21st, 2020 when 11 teams of filmmakers gathered at Liberty Park’s Freedom Point to hear the competition rules and select movie genres.

What happened next was 52 hours of scripting, filming, editing — and very little sleep — as teams raced to submit their films by the deadline.

Book published by Austin Peay State University’s Zone 3 Press earns national recognition

APSU's Zone 3 PressClarksville, TN – Earlier this summer, the essay collection “Flutter Point,” published by Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) Zone 3 Press, was awarded an honorable mention in the 20th annual Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards.

Foreword Reviews, a book review journal focusing on independently published books, announced the winners of its INDIES Book of the Year Awards in June.

Zone 3 Press presents author reading with Erik Anderson and Amy Fusselman on March 23rd

APSU's Zone 3 PressClarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 23rd, Zone 3, the Austin Peay State University Center for Excellence in Creative Arts’ literary journal, will present a reading with award-winning essayist Erik Anderson and writer, editor and publisher Amy Fusselman.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Morgan University Center Ballroom and begins at 8:00pm.
