Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – Travel down the rabbit hole at the Roxy Regional Theatre this month and join Lewis Carroll’s beloved literary heroine in her madcap adventures at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville.

Legends Bank presents the beloved award-winning musical Disney’s “Alice In Wonderland, Jr.” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, May 17th through June 8th.

Performed by sixty-one local youth, ages 10 to 18, from the Roxy Regional School of the Arts, this fast-paced take on the classic tale was adapted by David Simpatico from the 1951 Disney film and the novels by Lewis Carroll.

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces that the Clarksville Downtown Market will open Saturday, May 25th, 2019 with more than 80 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, local honey, milk, home décor and crafts, seasonal flowers and live entertainment.

The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays through October 12th on Public Square in downtown Clarksville. Enjoy live music, meet Market mascot “Corny the Cob,” and experience special events on select market days.

Cumberland Winds Members in Recital at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, May 3rd

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – While many are familiar with their full band performances, the Cumberland Winds will feature the fine musicians from our community who make up the group during a recital at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at 7:30pm.

Featuring soloists and small ensembles performing varied styles and types of music in the intimate setting of the Roxy Regional Theatre, the evening will include performances by Tamera Deichert and Yvonne Kendall on flute duet, Michael Stewart and Emmanuel Mejeun on French horn duet, and Patricia Ritter and Yvonne Kendall on harp and flute duet, as well as pieces by Cumberland Winds’ Woodwind, Saxophone and Clarinet Quartets. Musical direction will be provided by Mike Ritter.

The Cumberland Winds will perform at the Roxy Regional Theatre May 3rd.

Three madcap actors in tights will perform all 37 plays in an hour and a half upstairs in theotherspace at the Roxy Regional Theatre for four nights only, April 29th through May 7th, in “The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare [Abridged]”.

Utilizing lightning-fast costume changes, ridiculous props, pop culture references, improvisation and other comical antics, Ian Alexander Erbe, Jeffrey Keller and Caitie L. Moss will weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories and tragedies in one wild ride, sure to leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.

Austin Peay State University student newspaper earns two national awards for “Rebuild, Reflect”

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The All State student newspaper at Austin Peay State University (APSU) recently earned two national Apple Awards at the Spring National College Media Convention hosted in New York City in March.

Both awards honored a special edition called “Rebuild, Reflect” commemorating the 20-year anniversary of the tornado that hit APSU and Downtown Clarksville.
