New endowment, Reagan Giving Circle, honors longtime APSU marketing professor

Clarksville, TN – In the late 1960s, soon after earning her bachelor’s degree in business, Dr. Carmen Reagan began making her mark in higher education, teaching business courses at a time when opportunities for women were not as plentiful as they are today.
“The situation for women has definitely improved,” Reagan said. “There are many more opportunities for women today than when I went to college.”
After teaching in colleges and universities throughout Mississippi and at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Reagan came to Austin Peay State University in 1988 as associate professor of marketing. [Read more]
APSU senior named winner of recent Share a Smile contest

An Austin Peay State University senior is the winner of a recent contest designed to motivate college students to practice good oral health.
Amanda Michelle Brown, of Clarksville, won the 2010 APSU Share a Smile contest sponsored by Delta Dental of Tennessee. The contest was open to members of APSU’s Greek-letter fraternities and sororities.
Brown is a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She received a $1,000.00 monetary award for college expenses, Delta Dental also will give a donation to a Tennessee-based, oral health charity picked by Brown and her sorority. [Read more]
