Crisis 211 receives Donation from Daymar Institute

Clarksville, TN – Proceeds from the recent Holiday Craft Fair sponsored by Daymar Institute were given to Crisis 211. The annual event staged on the campus of Daymar Institute on December 10th, brought vendors from all across the area to sell their wares.
Admission to the popular event was $1.00 or a donation of 2 canned goods. Over $800.00 was collected and given to the Crisis 211 to help with their on-going mission.

On Saturday, November 5th, at 7:30am, The Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee will host the 19th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at APSU’s Morgan University Center. Gateway to Stardom gets Reprieve

Clarksville, TN – The Gateway to Stardom Talent Show that was rained out at Riverfest has been given a new performance date and venue.
On Saturday, October 22nd from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on Strawberry Alley, you will see all of the talent contestants vying for the $2,500 cash prize awarded by Daymar Institute. National Talent Scouts will be part of the judges for these talented young performers. [Read more]

The ESPN Football Tailgate Tour travels throughout the Charter East Division making stops throughout Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana.
Movies in the Park this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, September 17th, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for this month’s Movies in the Park event, featuring the 2006 computer-animated comedy film, “Open Season”. It is rated PG.
The movie will begin around 7:15pm, with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.
Daymar Institute’s Clarksville Campus Plans Large-Scale Expansion

Clarksville, TN – Daymar Institute, Clarksville is looking to the future with plans for a new facility, which will accommodate its growing student population and provide a larger campus. The new building will be located on Trenton Road near Needmore. Daymar has contracted K4 Architecture, LLC to design the exterior and interior of the building, and the project is due for completion in fall of 2012.
“We at Daymar have a lot of reasons to be excited,” said Katharine Purnell, Campus President for the Clarksville location. “We are getting a brand new facility with industry standard equipment in our labs. It will be 40,000 square feet, which is double the amount of space we currently have.” [Read more]
“Twilight” double-feature at Movies in the Park
