The Last Ride: Austin Peay State University’s final Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert to be held October 27th

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) iconic Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert has been selling out shows and shaping seasonal traditions for decades, and this year, the ensemble is bringing the community along for one last ride.
The 39th and final Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert will feature back-to-back performances on Friday, October 27th at 6:00pm and 8:00pm in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall. Admission is $5.00 or two cans of food donated to Loaves and Fishes.
Christmas with David Steinquest and Friends returns to APSU December 3rd

Clarksville, TN – If you squint, the asterisk almost looks like a snowflake, which means the symbol is on the theme when referring to the 12th* Annual Christmas with David Steinquest and Friends concert.
Why the asterisk? It’s tacked onto the title because the holiday tradition began in 2009 at Austin Peay State University (APSU), but then the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic put a halt to last year’s show.

But those students must visit www.apsu.edu/feed-a-gov this week to fill out a survey to make sure they are added to the program.

For thirty-two years, he’s hosted the APSU Department of Music’s wildly popular Halloween Percussion Concert, and each fall, he tries to top the previous year’s performance.
“This is the biggest one ever,” he said, slumping in his chair. “I might have to just quit now.”

The University’s top faculty honor, the APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award, was presented to Dr. Mike Gotcher, professor of communication.
