APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – The 19th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just five weeks away.

This year’s competition will be held Saturday, May 11th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney drew 264 boats.

Austin Peay State University Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – As the temperatures climb up this weekend it is a reminder the 19th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just around the corner.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces Design Review Task Force Members

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will host the first organizational meeting of the newly appointed Design Review Task Force on February 5th, 2013 at 3:00pm.

The public meeting will take place in the City Hall Conference Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. The Task Force’s goal is to review Clarksville’s design review committee structure and present recommendations to simplify and streamline the design approval process. [Read more]

Planters Bank ‘First Thursday’ Exhibit Features Clarksville Photo Club

Planters BankClarksville, TN – The Planters Bank “First Thursday” Art Exhibit at the bank’s Hilldale branch will feature the Clarksville Friends of Photography during October. Approximately 20 photos will be on display from members of the club. All pieces are available for sale.

The exhibit will be open to the public from Thursday, October 4th through Wednesday, October 31st during regular bank hours (8:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday.) The bank’s Hilldale branch is located at 1971 Madison Street.

Upcoming exhibits include watercolors by Judy Morgan in November and photography by David Smith in December.

Veteran Photographer Alan Goldstein to Showcase Photos at Planters Bank

Planters BankClarksville, TN – The Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery will feature photography from Alan Goldstein beginning Thursday, August 2nd.

Goldstein’s large-scaled, black and white exhibit is entitled “Ballet Magnificant.” The public is invited to meet Goldstein at an opening reception on Thursday between noon and 2:00pm.
