Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history.
In the month of June, the Museum will feature Figuratively Speaking: National Juried Exhibition, Serving Abroad: Through Their Eyes by Lincoln Schatz, Greg Williamson: With the Troops, Surroundings: The Art of Janet Felts, Paul Harmon: Inner Voices, The Outsiders: Folk Art from the Hicks & Vander Elst Collections, Art & Lunch: Gallery Talk with Greg Williamson, Farms Long Ago & Farms Today, “What’s There to Eat?”, Which Came First, Chicken or Egg?, Sheep in the Meadow, Cows in the Corn and Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, continues Saturday, June 28th, at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville. ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ rated G, and brought to you by Realtor, Thryce Lindsey, will be shown at approximately 8:30pm (dependent on sunset).
The Wizard of Oz is about a girl named Dorothy Gale who is swept away by a tornado from her home in Kansas to a magical land. Dorothy and her dog Toto follow the yellow brick road and make friends along the way, as they head to the Emerald City to meet the Great Wizard in hopes that he can help return them home.

Clarksville, TN – Dr. Solie Fott, Austin Peay State University professor emeritus of music, considers himself to be just a fiddle player, but that’s a bit of an understatement.
Throughout his sideline career as a Nashville sessions string player, he has performed with some of the top names in modern music history, including Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Kris Kristofferson and Eddie Arnold.
Customs House Museum to host Annual Flying High Fundraiser Saturday, June 7th

Flying High is Customs House Museum’s preeminent fundraiser of the year, supporting educational and exhibit programming of the Museum.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development Council, in partnership with Austin Peay State University and the Tennessee Arts Commission, will be holding the the Tenth Annual Clarksville Writers Conference June 5th and 6th, 2014, on the campus of Austin Peay State University.
We are very honored to have as this year’s keynote speaker Susan Gregg Gilmore, critically-acclaimed novelist and author of Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen, The Improper Life of Bezellia Grove and The Funeral Dress.
