Cunningham, TN – The Montgomery Central Little League will be conducting signups for Fall Baseball Thursday, August 11th from 5:00pm – 7:30pm and Saturday, August 13th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Signups will be held at the Montgomery Central Little League Building.

The Lone Oak Picnic is this Saturday, July 30th

Cunningham, TN – The 103rd annual Lone Oak Picnic will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2011, in Cunningham, TN, from 9:00am to 3:00pm featuring old time BBQ, political speeches, gospel and bluegrass music, inflatables, and car show. Location is between Highway 13 and Alonzo Place, just west of the Hwy 48/13 split.
The Lone Oak Picnic is a tradition dating back to 1908, and once again Central Civitan Club is proud to host this wholesome, fun, community and family event. All are welcome.

Montgomery County Mother Honored as Mother of the Year for Her Fight to Obtain Healthcare for Her Son

Cunningham, TN – Nancy Hollis of Cunningham is being honored as a 2011 Mother of the Year by the Tennessee Justice Center (TJC). The award is in recognition of her persistence in battling to obtain medical services for her son and for her extraordinary commitment to the healthcare of children and families throughout Tennessee. Ms. Hollis is one of six women from across the state who are receiving the 2011 TJC Mother of the Year award. The awards will be presented on May 5th during a reception in Nashville.

2010 Lone Oak Picnic

Only July 31st, the Central Civitan Club put on the 102nd Annual Lone Oak Picnic. Several political candidates were on hand giving speeches and shaking hands. All proceeds from the picnic go right back into the community to help victims of fire to replace furniture and clothing, and into the local schools (Montgomery Central High School, Middle School and Elementary School as well as Cumberland Heights Elementary).
