APSU Campus Police to participate in National Night Out

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Campus Police, along with Clarksville and Montgomery County, will join cities nationwide for the 29th annual National Night Out (NNO), a crime and prevention event, on Tuesday, August 7th.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in, local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Justice Assistance Grant Public Comment session

The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County intend to submit a joint application for the 2010 Byrne Justice Assistance with the funds to be shared between the County and the City to be used for traditional law enforcement and crime prevention activities.
Any person wishing to make a comment regarding use of funds is invited to attend a public comment period June 16th, 2010 at 1:30pm.
This session will be held downstairs in the briefing room at The Clarksville Police Department, 135 Commerce St., Clarksville, Tennessee.
