Clarksville, TN – Applications are now being accepted by the Clarksville Police Department for the August 10th Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) Class.
Applications are available at Clarksville Police headquarters, 135 Commerce Street or by going to www.clarksvillepd.org.
Once completed, applications are to be turned in to the Clarksville Police Department at 135 Commerce Street either in person or by mail. [Read more]
Clarksville Police Department receives Firearm Vest Covers from Citizens Police Academy Alumni

Clarksville, TN – On June 20th, 2013, the Citizens Police Academy Alumni presented the Clarksville Police Department with new Firearms Instructor Ballistic Vest Covers, for use in their new Scenario House and on their Firearms Range.
The new vest will easily identify those is charge while on the range and in the Scenario House, which improves safety for all involved.
Clarksville Police Department Teen Citizen Police Academy slots still available

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is still taking application for the Teen Citizen Police Academy. There are still some slots available but they are going fast.
It will be held July 22nd thru July 26th from 9:00am thru 3:00pm each day. Candidates must be in the 7th grade thru Senior in High School.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center gets new Cannon

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the latest addition to the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.
The siege carriage for the previously unmounted 24-pound cannon has arrived and the complete cannon is now on display and open to public viewing.
Clarksville Police Officer Seth Paugh receives Lifesaver Award

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Chief Al Ansley presented Officer Seth Paugh with a Lifesaver Award, Friday, for his actions at a structure fire at 306 Blaine Court.
On February 5th, 2013, Officer Paugh arrived at a structure fire and could see the interior of the residence was consumed in smoke. Officer Paugh questioned a neighbor about a vehicle located in the residence’s driveway.

Clarksville Police Break Ground on Scenario House

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department broke ground today on a long awaited Scenario House. The Scenario House will enhance the training capabilities of the department by providing a realistic training environment.
The Scenario House became a reality through the economic support of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Clarksville City Council, and the citizens of Clarksville.

Billy Dunlop Park will be closed November 6th for Clarksville Police Training

Clarksville, TN – Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road, will be closed to the public Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 as the Clarksville Police Department conducts training.
The park will reopen to the public at dawn on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.

Clarksville Police Department’s Operation Defiance Trunk-or-Treat

Clarksville, TN – On October 28th, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department in conjunction with several community partners hosted a Trunk-or-Treat in the Operation Defiance area at the New Providence Community Policing Center.
It is part of the Police Department’s multifaceted efforts to build rapport and improve the quality of life in the Operation Defiance community.
