Red River Breeze presents World Music with a Celtic Flair at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Saturday, July 16th

Clarksville, TN – On the heels of last December’s sold-out “Celtic Christmas Concert,” popular local music group Red River Breeze returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre this summer for a concert featuring world folk music with a Celtic flair on Saturday, July 16th, at 7:00pm.
While the mercury will be reaching for the opposite end of the scale this time around, the same creative energy and first-rate musicianship which entertained a packed house at Red River Breeze’s Christmas concert will be brought to the stage at next month’s show.
City’s Independence Day Celebration takes place July 3rd

Clarksville, TN – City of Clarksville will celebrate our nation’s independence this year with the ninth annual Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 3rd, 2016 at Liberty Park. The event is free and open to the public.
Activities and music will begin at 6:00pm Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Concessions are for sale throughout the park.
Gospel Concert with Lydia Walker at Heart & Soul Church

Clarksville, TN – Local singer/songwriter and worship leader Lydia Walker will be the featured musical artist for a gospel concert at Heart & Soul Church in downtown Clarksville.
The concert will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at 6:00pm. Heart & Soul Church is located at 334 Union Street.
Nashville recording artist Maggie Rose to perform concert at unveiling of newly renamed Fortera Stadium, April 23rd

Concert part of ceremony to unveil newly renamed Fortera Stadium
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, April 23rd, Austin Peay State University and Fortera Credit Union celebrate a new era in Governors Football with the unveiling of the newly renamed Fortera Stadium, capped off with a concert by Nashville recording artist Maggie Rose in the stadium lot.
Rose’s performance will conclude a day’s worth of activities, beginning with a noon baseball game, as the Governors take on Eastern Kentucky in Raymond C. Hand Park. At 1:00pm, Governors Softball will compete against Jacksonville State at Cheryl Holt Field.
Yellow Creek Baptist Church to host Southern Gospel Singers United’s 2nd annual Spring Convention

Cumberland City, TN – On Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th, the Southern Gospel Singers United will hold their 2nd annual Spring Convention at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
This two day concert is free and open to the public.
On Friday night, the performers will be Living Truth Quartet, The Believers, Yours Truly Trio, Faith’s Crossing, Bethany Ellis ( Highway 22 ), The Liberty Boys, Mitchel Jon, and For Heaven’s Sake.

West Creek and Kenwood High School choirs to hold concert November 20th

Montgomery County, TN – West Creek High School and Kenwood High School choirs will combine to present a choral concert at Madison Street United Methodist Church in Clarksville on Friday November 20th at 7:00pm. Admission is free.
The concert will include both choirs performing several pieces by themselves as well as several combined choir pieces with full orchestra. Come out and enjoy a great night of wonderful choral music.

Renowned French horn player Ruske to perform at Austin Peay State University on November 8th

Clarksville, TN – At 3:00pm on Sunday, November 8th, the Clarksville Community Concert Association will host its second concert of the 2015-2016 season with internationally famed French horn player Eric Ruske performing in the APSU Mabry Concert Hall.
At the age of 20, Ruske began serving as Associate Principal Horn for the Cleveland Orchestra, one of the most highly respected orchestras in the world.
After winning competitions both at home and abroad, and playing for six years with the renowned Empire Brass Quintet, Ruske’s solo career has flourished in locales as varied as the Louvre in Paris, the Royal Academy of Music in London, Lincoln Center in New York and concert halls in Beijing, St. Petersburg, Seoul, Rome and Tokyo.
